Virtuemart isn't working properly on our site

We recently made a few design changes to our website, so i thought it'd be a good idea to check everything was working properly still.
Whilst i was at it, i wanted to see how the process of buying our products worked (i'm only 17 and very new to my job). anywho, i added some items to my shopping cart, and when i went to the check out, it came up with an error message.
WHY has it done this, and how do i fix it?

oh, and whilst i'm here, if you visit our website, and decide that you would like to but something, until the problem has been solved, email us or ring us, our contact are on out 'contact us' page (obvioulsy, where else would we put it) ;D - Abi

It's time to make a new change, more easy and more simple and add the possibility to have 2 taxes managed, I live in Canda, Quebec and We have GST and QST Taxe ex: 5% GST and add 7.5% QST for a total of 12.88% tax) At this time I need to use one taxe, the 12.88% but for financial report is not good and illegal. - levelKro

Documentation...

I think it's a shame that the documentation lags behind the releases. I have installed the most recent version, but have to roll back to a documented version, since there is no way for me to support this shopping cart, short of tearing apart the code so I know what's going on. Real shame.. maybe Zen Cart will do the job better.. A thought for the next release... new users NEED documentation for the CURRENT version, or they (we!) must go to another system. - Kerri

I am pretty new at this so I have a couple of questions. Can I change the look of the shopping cart. I hate thate blue box that pops up. and- how do I create a "My Account" section? I want my customers to view their account, order history, change their method of payment and so on. I can not figure that out at all. :'( - Merraleet

1.1.3 Enable Affiliate Program? Removed?

Upgrading while running vm affiliate from globacide crashed my site. Glad I always use a beta site first and always back up production sites before making changes.

Also the site I did put 1.1.3 on will not let me upload files for downloadable products as I see oceanblue mentioned too. - BP

I installed the patch, everything seemed to work fine but when I went to change some files for display issues, they didn't seem to overwrite the existing file. When I check the file permissions everytime it reverts to 000.

I really need to get this working - please help! - oceanblue

Admins and webmasters are better off using Firefox!

One more comment before going to bed... OK You guys complaining about the IE problems in Joomla Administrator. Listen up...

MSIE is so far below standard these days when it comes to web development (which includes Joomla! administration IMHO).

Get Firefox installed and use it! It has so many really cool plug in tools for developers, webmasters, designers, content writers, and CMS Administrators that using IE as your place to work is simply no longer an option. Microsoft are you listening?

Of course you need MSIE as well as other browsers to see how your pages look in all cases, but that is only for viewing, not for configuring, writing, designing, or developing...

Yes the VirueMart team should check into the obvious CSS compatibility problems and fix them of course but that should be a lower priority than bug fixes to the front end... Right?

Just my $.02 worth... sorry... please don't flame me ok? Thanks... :P - Ben Sheppard
