The VirtueMart Team is proud to announce the second release candidate for VirtueMart 1.1.0!

VirtueMart 1.1 is the next generation of VirtueMart, which brings a lot of new features and real compatibility to Joomla! 1.5. 

What we have released now is the 2nd release candidate, which means that all planned features have been integrated and now it's time to find and fix bugs.

It's not recommended to use VirtueMart 1.1.0 RC2 on a production system nor to attempt the update from an earlier version (VM 1.0.x). This release is just for testing purposes!Whenever you find a bug (which is a bug and not a case of RTMP - read the manual please), please report it at the bug tracker.

Head over to the Download Section and grab your copy of VirtueMart 1.1.0 RC2 now!

We have prepared two versions of the Complete Package:

• one which can be installed on Mambo and Joomla! 1.0.x and
• one for Joomla! 1.5.

1.1.0 RC1 works! I am having no troubles with my test site. As I do not care if any troubles arise I am going to start building a live site. Please let me know if I will lose everything I am doing now when the stable version is released. I can wait as long as it will take. But the more I test the more real work I am putting into design etc.

Hi Soeren,

Congratualtions with this new release.

I am having several problems:
1. I am on a MAC, and I am not able to unzip none of the archives. I need to unzip them with IZarc on a PC, and it tells me there is an error in the file.

2. The archive VirtueMart_1.1.0_RC2-Manual_Installation_Package.tar.gz does not contain all the files in components/com virtuemart

2. The archive VirtueMart_1.1.0_RC2-COMPLETE_PACKAGE.j15.zip only contains admin_files.tar.gz

Juan W: Great Work!!! but I have a problem

Hi. Congratualtions for this great work.

But I have a problem.
I add new products of any category of the same manufacturer, and always show ONLY the last one I added. If I have 5 products, virtuemart show the last one five times.

I will try to reinstall again.

It seems regardless of how much warning is given about this being beta, there will still be people who insist on using it on a live site, simply because it's free. I can only hope they have the sense to return to the forum and post their gained insight and experiences on the Quality & Testing forum. And not return here demanding support and assistance creating a professional site using beta software!

Regardless, thanks for your diligent work Soeren, and Greg. I hope the community continues to grow and more people get involved with the project.

I do not kwow if you are speaking on me. I installed virtuemart in my test site, not in my live site.
I have been many years using Virtuemart in Joomla 1.0x and now I want to try the Joomla 1.5 version.

Leosophy: Virtualmart1.1RC errors when enabling SEF for joomla1.5

I have installed virtualmart 1.1RC on joomla 1.5. I find that if SEF enabled, Virtualmart will not work. Please help to fix it!

I have been searchin around to find a danish translation of version 1.1, but I can't. I try to translate what I need into danish but which files should be transplated and where should I put the result so everybody else could use my danish translation?

I was looking around for a solution: virtuemart doesnt show products in the normal way but It shows always the same product for category. If I had 5 products in a category It shows 5 times the same product. Just disable the cache in the condiguration of the site and virtuemart will work well.
