VirtueMart 1.1.2 is a recommended maintenance update, which  provides enhancements and fixes a lot of minor bugs, including:

  • Plugins are now processed on child product pages
  • Child product attributes are now displayed on the product details page
  • PayPal Websites Standard is now supported in No Account Creation mode
  • Improved SEF support for sh404SEF
  • Shipping bypass option

(see the changelog for full details).

Full installation packages and patch packages are available on the download page.

To update to version 1.1.2, login to your VirtueMart administration area and choose "Check for Updates" from the "Admin" menu, then click the "Check now!" button and follow the instructions there. (Or, you can download the 1.1.2 patch package directly , save it to your local hard drive, and choose to "Upload a Patch Package" from the "Upload a Patch" tab.)

If you are using VirtueMart 1.1.0, you must first update to VirtueMart 1.1.1 before updating to VirtueMart 1.1.2.

Please feel free to discuss the VirtueMart 1.1.2 update in the forum.

joann: You need to learn more
Hi bogdan,

There are millions of users of Joomla and VirtueMart out there. Very unlikely they upload the corrupted files, isn't it? Besides it works fine for me (I said as what it is). If you are new to the web development world, you need to learn more. Also, post your problem in the forum will be much better. Remember, search the forum first.

Ani: Unable to upload Virtuemart http://www.anidayventures.com
Hi

I have downloaded Virtuemart but am unable to upload Virtuemart. Following is the error message:
Warning: "file_put_contents(/home/anidayv7/public_html/joomla/tmp/install_4891d0ca7f07b/) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Is a directory in /home/anidayv7/public_html/joomla/libraries/joomla/filesystem/file.php on line 298

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/home/anidayv7/public_html/joomla/libraries/joomla/filesystem: CHMOD Failure:"

- I have made all three folders/file - 'filesystem' , 'tmp', 'file.php', CHMOD 777 -but still it does not work.

I read in some forum about the upload file size limit, but was unable to find the right folder to change the limit, IF that is a problem, please tell me how to change it.

How do i resolve this and upload Virtuemart.

SandFish: Install error http://www.racingparts.lv
Could it be that VM 1.1.2 is not supported by Joomla 1.5.5? I tried installing the VM 1.1.2 on Joomla 1.5.3. and everything was just fine, but on Joomla 1.5.5 version, the upload&install process results in HTTP 500 Error..
Any Ideas..?

Danzo: JUST CURIOUS...
Why did the update require overwriting my CSS files?! I've compared them line by line and there are no new classes or IDs. Not a HUGE deal... but why?!

I do have a small problem. (I've posted on the forum and no answer in about a week, no solved threads, I'm reaching here, lol) The save / update / close buttons will not work on the product list page only. I have to insert the info through the database. Is this normal?
mambo 4.6.2
vm 1.1.2
macOSX 10.5.4
FireFox/Safari/Opera/

Thanks!

Michael Kean: Can't make new items (children) in 1.1.2. http://auzzie.net/cccweb
I'm not so happy with 1.1.2, it has a bug that prevents the creation of new "items" for a product - very frustrating when you sell wool and every ball has multiple items. It's possible to work around it by typing the item ID into the URL administrator/index.php?pshop_mode=admin&page=product.product_form&product_parent_id=1&option=com_virtuemart (replacing parent_id=? with the relevant item number from it's edit item URL.)

If you need to add items, I wouldn't recommend upgrading just yet ;-)

Sunlust: There was an error uploading this file to the server. http://sunlust.net
I have the same problems, when I try to install virtuemart I get "There was an error uploading this file to the server.
", trired various browsers (including IE7, FF 3) for download/uploading the files, using Joomla 1.5.6 and Virtuemart 1.1.2

Ron Lloyd: Fix for error uploading this file
If you receive this error "There was an error uploading this file to the server" go to your php.ini file and search for 'upload_max_filesize' (without the quotes) and change the value to 4M then restart apache. Best to change it back afterwards

Greysight: BETTER FIX...There was an error uploading this file to the server http://greysightstudios.com
I had the same problem with "There was an error uploading this file to the server" instead of changing the php ini file. upload to your file to the "tmp" file in your joomla installation. Then in your joomla "extensions" - "install/uninstall" in the administrator panel... use the "Install from URL" option for example
http://www/yoursite.com/tmp/name_of_your_file.zip and install that way. it will be quick and easier that way.

Fatal: Attributes get deleted after adding a product type http://www.fatal-music.com
Hello,

Was very excited to install this new package..
BUT...

As soon as you add an attribute to a product, then add an item... then add a product type..

the attribute gets deleted!

I tested this in both my shops: one with no product and one with products created by the VM1.1.0 version.. both have the same issue!

DO NOT UPGRADE when u use attributes and product types..

I'm going to downgrade my version because I'm unable to use my shops now...
