for some reason I get an error when trying to install that says; "There was an error uploading this file to the server."

any Ideas ??

Hi, I don't know if I'm the first one to have problem with the automatic installation?

Reason for this was due to two files missing in the .xml installation script :
"README.Dankort.txt"
"virtuecart.gif"

I inserted these two and everything worked as a charm. :D

I was really not looking forward to the manual installation...

I'm a bit surprised that I can't find any comments about this?

i guess that seeing your rebuilding this program can i ask for something to be added to it.
there seems to be a number of people that only want to show certain products to certain people ie retail clients only see retail clients, wholesale clients see retail & wholesale products @ wholesale prices.
with the current vs and this 1.1 beta they both still display the wholesale products but with a 'call for price' comment.
can you add an option to just hide products from another user group. :cry:

in VirtueMart 1.1 you can filter the content with multiple filters?
for example in mainboards to see only ddr2 and with video onboard.

can it do this?

I'm using VirtueMart in two different sites and I love it. Can't wait to be able to add new fields in the user's profile and the option to add percentage to payment comissions, instead of a flat fee. It will make it just perfect. :-)

Certainly the VM develop team is under a high pressure right now!
With no additional pressure (I'm sure you don't need it) I would like to know if it is possible, for you guys, foresee if, once installed Beta 2, it will be possible to upgrade to the stable version?

Zuerst tut es mir sehr leid, dass ich auf deutsch schreibe, bin mein English ist schrecklich. Was ich bei VM bemängel, ist dass die Eingabe von Geburtstagsdatu m nur in einem extra_field definiert werden kann. Dabei wäre es vom Vorteil, das Geburtagsdatum in drei INPUT Felder einzutippen (dd.mm.yyyy) und die Eingaben in die Datenbank als INTEGER Werte abzuspeichern. (Ggf. noch Abfragen, ob diese Werte INTEGER Werte sind). Das hat folgenden Hintergrund: ich programmiere selbst Schnittstellen zu anderen Warenwirtschaft ssystemen und musste immer die komplette VM Regestrierung umprogrammieren (wodurch das updaten nicht gerade leicht gemacht wird), damit man das Geburtstagsdatu m aus der DB auslesen kann. Ein weiterer Aspekt ist, dass manche Shops nur Volljährigen bzw. ab einer bestimmten Altersgruppe zu verfügung stehen. An der Stelle könnte man auch bestimmten Nutzern ab einem bestimmten Alter betimmte Artikel anbieten, dies könnte man in der Produkteinstell ungen bzw. Kategoriebaum angeben.

Will we ever be able to add fields to a product so we can sell hosting :-)
