You might have noticed that VirtueMart 1.1 doesn't include a CSV Import/Export. We have decided to let CSVImproved do all the Import/Export Work - it's a separate component for Joomla! 1.0 and Joomla! 1.5 (legacy mode).

CSVImproved is out of its beta Phase now and available in Version 0.8. Make sure you check out the List of Features. You'll be surprised of how much this component can handle! Thank you, Roland, for developing this great Tool!

This has to be one of the worst pieces of Joomla software I have seen in years. I can upload the same list twice (after removing all the products after the first load) and I get a different amount showing up each time. I have loaded a file with 1800 products the first time it told me only 1099 worked. So I exported the file to check why and to figure out what didnt go up. Then I manually removed all the products just to see what would happen I imported the same exact list that it exported. And guess what. It only showed 900 products.

If this is the product that Virtuemart is going to use it needs to either get fixed or they need to find one that works. This one sucks.

I hate saying that about anything Joomla because I have used it for years and never had serious issues but this time with this cart it sucks.

@UnhappyUserGeo rge, It doesn't make sense why users assume everything has to be free, isn't our work and time valuable, shouldn't we get paid for our work, just like you get paid for your work or do you think we are slaves, kept in a dungeon only for the purpose of coding.

Oh, it seems you didn't even read about CSVImporved, if you did you would know it is free and fully functional, it will only display unregistered message, if you like our work you can purchase a license to remove the message.

It does not make sense that you get virtuemart as a free solution, yet you have to pay to import your products using CSVIMproved!!!! !

Hi

I am trying to download CSVImproved 0.8 for use in a new store we are setting up but have problems accessing the csvimproved.com site.

Either the site is down or the download times out? (I was only able to access the site once in the last 24 hours).

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this package (for Joomla 1.5)

I talked to my provider and found out that they provide both PHP4 and PHP5

to your .htaccess just add:

AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php

and "1und1" uses PHP5 instead of PHP4

For PHP4 You must to use the old version CSV Improved 0.7.5.3 or change Your host provider.
