VirtueMart - Open Source eCommerce Software

Now that Joomla! 1.5.8 has been released, I have updated our VirtueMart eCommerce Bundle to this new version. Not only this, but as announced earlier, this new Bundle includes new Sample Products and a new default Template (JoomlArt Larix, specialized for VirtueMart - including a custom VirtueMart Theme).

Another useful component will also be included for the the first time with the new Bundle: CustomQuickIcons. It replaces the default Control Panel with custom Links (one to your VirtueMart installation, of course).

CSVI is the best tool for the Virtuemart, I cant imagine working without it!
20 euros is nothing for that amazing compo can do! And basically Roland provides amazing support, the guy not leaving even 1 post without reply on hes forum!
And dont forget that also the developers have to live with some way !
I m totally support the movement of CSVI !

NameIt!: Homephone Functions in Joomlart.com Templates

I would check the Larix Template for any Homephone Function before using this e commerce edition. Joomlart.com has been implementing several Homephone Systems into their templates incl. JA Nagya that are even working against the paid members as they cause troubles with the testing and installation of the site/shop section when the shop is already Joomlawise installed. Also when the management has said they will not implement those again, there is another one in JA Mesolite. Also when Joomlart.com is sponsoring this great template, which is indeed a nice one, I still recommend to check the codes before using it in a serious live shop.

1. The trial is indeed in my plan also. There are also people who prefer to test out or develop a site with CSV Improved locally.
2. License packages have also been set this weekend. A 2-year license will be € 35,- (excluding tax if applicable) and a 3-year license will be € 50,- (excluding tax if applicable)
3. The language files will be open so people can translate it into their own language. This will follow the Joomla 1.5 system of INI-files.

Christophe Catesson: What does the ecommerce bundle provide

Hello,

I have used virtuemart 1.0, I am about to create a new site and install virtuemart 1.5. Could someone please please tell me what does the ecommerce bundle provides in addition to the standard install, is it worth it? is there any downside to use the bundle?

Why is it that the top Ten Products will only show 3 of my products? Other then that I like 1.5.8......
I wish there was more detailed documentation.. getting support on the forums sucks cuz people don't help much!
