VirtueMart 1.1.3 is a recommended security update, which  provides fixes for some security issues, other enhancements and fixes a lot of minor bugs (see the changelog for full details).

Full installation packages and patch packages are available on the download page.

To update to version 1.1.3, login to your VirtueMart administration area and choose "Check for Updates" from the "Admin" menu, then click the "Check now!" button and follow the instructions there. (Or, you can download the 1.1.3 patch package directly , save it to your local hard drive, and choose to "Upload a Patch Package" from the "Upload a Patch" tab.)

If you are using VirtueMart 1.1.0, you must first update to VirtueMart 1.1.1 before updating to VirtueMart 1.1.3.

safemode: Fine but why Polish lang is so outdated? http://www.virtuemart.pl
Please tell me how can I send You full package of polish lang files for VM 1.1.x? Files in your distribution are very old and all have wrong encoding.
As a Polish VM Community we have good distribution of correct lang-pack but it will be nice to have it also officially. BR.

hi, very excited about trying out v1.1.3 -- is there an ETA for an ecommerce bundle? Reckon I should wait for it, or try to update the v1.5.9/v1.1.2 bundle with the v1.1.3 patch?

thanks!

Warning: zip_read() expects parameter 1 to be resource, integer given in C:xamppserverhtdocsJoomlalibrariesjoomla ilesystem

Warning: zip_close() expects parameter 1 to be resource, integer given in C:xamppserverhtdocsJoomlalibrariesjoomla ilesystem

Figured I'd download the patch, but the instructions say look for an "upload patch tab" and I don't see such a thing... where should I be looking?

Discouraged: still doesn't allow for destination-based-sales-tax
This product is useless if you are in most states, since most states require you to charge based on your customers zip code if they live within the same state. The tax rate to different zip codes within the same state are different.....ugh!

vonGruz: Many problems in VM 1.1.3, especially when using IE
Joomla 1.5.9 + VM 1.1.3

1. Frontend admin is not workable in IE and FF (css is not applied, cannot edit any product).
2. Error in IE, when using slimbox for full images and trying to view a product detail page.
3. Backend - cannot edit products in IE.
4. Shipping rates cannot be saved at least in backend
5. Minor issue. At least in Cyrillic when opening popup cart 1-st and 2-nd letter is transformed to something bad.
6. When a used comments and order, it is saved not correctly - instead of line breaks it saves "rn"

2-6 can be fixed now, there are solutions, but one need to read tones of topics to find them. The first issue is the greatest and has no solution yet. :-(

I'd advice NOT TO UPGRADE tp VM 1.1.3 till the problems are fixed.

Ben Sheppard: Founder, CIO http://www.globalICTsystems.com
Just installed VirtueMart 1.1.3 on a client's website. Joomla 1.1.15 (this is my second time installing it) It was a breeze and fun to set up smilies/smiley.gif Congratulations on all the great work!

Documentation team PLEASE NOTE: I noticed a small mistake in the PDF install guide that comes with the download package... Its in Section 2.4 step number 6 at the top of page 7.

Where it says:
In Mambo/Joomla! 1.0 click Installers #Components.
you need to replace the word
Components
with
Modules
.

I know its a module because mod_ gives that away but many new to Mambo/Joomla will not know that and will be tearing their hair out when they get the error message
smilies/tongue.gif

Sorry for putting this here. I am not yet signed up for the forums yet but will soon as I get deep into configuring this way powerful eCommerce money making component!

OK off to bed its late!

thanks!

Ben Sheppard: Admins and webmasters are better off using Firefox! http://www.globalICTsystems.com
One more comment before going to bed... OK You guys complaining about the IE problems in Joomla Administrator. Listen up...

MSIE is so far below standard these days when it comes to web development (which includes Joomla! administration IMHO).

Get Firefox installed and use it! It has so many really cool plug in tools for developers, webmasters, designers, content writers, and CMS Administrators that using IE as your place to work is simply no longer an option. Microsoft are you listening?

Of course you need MSIE as well as other browsers to see how your pages look in all cases, but that is only for viewing, not for configuring, writing, designing, or developing...

Yes the VirueMart team should check into the obvious CSS compatibility problems and fix them of course but that should be a lower priority than bug fixes to the front end... Right?

Just my $.02 worth... sorry... please don't flame me ok? Thanks... smilies/tongue.gif

BP: 1.1.3 Enable Affiliate Program? Removed?
Upgrading while running vm affiliate from globacide crashed my site. Glad I always use a beta site first and always back up production sites before making changes.

Also the site I did put 1.1.3 on will not let me upload files for downloadable products as I see oceanblue mentioned too.

I want my customers to view their account, order history, change their method of payment and so on. I can not figure that out at all. smilies/cry.gif

Kerri: Documentation... http://NONE ANYMORE!!
I think it's a shame that the documentation lags behind the releases. I have installed the most recent version, but have to roll back to a documented version, since there is no way for me to support this shopping cart, short of tearing apart the code so I know what's going on. Real shame.. maybe Zen Cart will do the job better.. A thought for the next release... new users NEED documentation for the CURRENT version, or they (we!) must go to another system.

Abi: Virtuemart isn't working properly on our site http://www.hidentity.co.uk
We recently made a few design changes to our website, so i thought it'd be a good idea to check everything was working properly still.
Whilst i was at it, i wanted to see how the process of buying our products worked (i'm only 17 and very new to my job). anywho, i added some items to my shopping cart, and when i went to the check out, it came up with an error message.
WHY has it done this, and how do i fix it?
