The last phase of development has begun, before mambo-phpShop 1.2 can be considered as stable. This last phase is completely up to all of you who want to test mambo-phpShop. And the mambo-phpShop Project really needs you!

Please also read this warning before you go on downloading the developer release: This is a snapshot of the current CVS version of mambo-phpShop. IT IS NOT TESTED. That's what this release is supposed to be used for: TESTING ITS FUNCTIONALITY. Don't install on / upgrade for a production site! You have been warned...

Report any bugs you find to the Developer Board in the Forum (when it's online again, oh I hate this damn up and down).

When you begin testing please run various testing scenarios, which make use of the complete functionality of mambo-phpShop:

  1. Check if the Shop calculates all amounts correctly. There's no guarantee, that amounts are calculated correctly, especially when you are using mulitple taxes or product discounts.
  2. Play around with the new Order History feature (see order.order_print page)
  3. Use the Price <-> Quantity Relationship feature (add various prices in the price form)
  4. If you're using Shared SSL: Test if the Cart contents are kept when switching to the SSL domain
  5. Test the Checkout for both Shopper Group types: those that see prices "including tax" and those who see prices "Excluding tax".
  6. Test the Shipping Modules: Flex / Standard Shipping / UPS / USPS / Canada Post / InterShipper with different ShipTo Addresses
  7. Check the Payment Modules (new: eWay XML, 2Checkout, Danhost, Wannafind,...)
  8. Apply different Tax Rates to your Shipping Rates and see if the Shipping Taxes are correctly calculated
  9. ....PLAY AROUND and go for BUGHUNTING
