The development goes on - since I'm not completely alone, much faster now - and you'll be happy to hear of exciting new features..?!?
The next release will be RC3. I completely rewrote the checkout process, which took some time. I took some parts out of the phpshop-mod "phpEuroshop" which comes with a good shipping and checkout module. Payment is also a bit different, now less credit card oriented.
Shipping:
- new shipping module which allows individual carriers and rates
- create rates for different countries, zips and weight
- customers can select the right shipping method while checking out
Payment
- decide, whether a payment method is "Credit card only", "CC with processor enabled", "COD" (Nachnahme) or "Bank debit" (Bankeinzug).
- customers can fill in their bank details (bank account number, holder name, sort code number and IBAN) for enabling bank debit payment
- you can give discount on some payment methods to affect your customer's payment behaviour...the discount can be subtracted before ore after shipping/tax (config!)
I too added the feature that you can establish a minimum purchase order value (Mindestbestellwert) for your store, so customers won't be able to order less than this value. Error messages will be given out as javascript:alerts now. The phpShop module will display all subcategories of the actual top-category....
....and so on. I'll soon update the demo so you can see all the features "live".
