If you followed the discussions in the Forum for Installation Problems you will probably have heard of the problem "Fatal Error: ...failed opening pclerror.lib. " when Installing mambo-phpShop. I wanted to investigate further and switched my development platform to PHP 5.0.3. Now I could see what's causing the problem: it's a compatibility problem. The PCLTar library doesn't correctly work with PHP5 and the mambo-phpShop Installer. I quickly switched to a new Tar Library (Archive_Tar from the PEAR class repository). This should work on PHP 4 and 5. The next version will have a working installer...
