Today I decided to release a "snapshot" of the current mambo-phpShop as mambo-phpShop 1.2 pre-RC1. Please don't wonder about the version numbering...it's just the point that I changed core functions in mambo-phpShop. There could be issues and bugs on that and so I decided to call this release "pre-RC1". Just test it and post your experiences to our forum.
Remote Installer
I recently wrote a small mambo-phpShop "Remote Installer" component for Mambo. This component uses a Downloader Script to transfer the 1MB tar.gz file from mamboforge.net directly to your server and unpack it there. Once the component file is unpacked, you can easily install it without having to upload the file (so it is especially helpful for Modem Users). Thanks to the "GetMambo" project for inspiration. Just try it! It can also be downloaded from mamboforge.net.
