I've found a wonderful hack for the original phpShop at http://forums.edikon.com/index.php?showtopic=4742 that allows selling downloadable goods. It's a very "basic" hack, but has enough functionality to build up a store that sells downloadable goods. The feature will be included in phpShop-for-Mambo 1.0 stable.
You can try this feature here at this site by purchasing either "phpShop" or two Mambo templates which I have published here for demo purposes. You will of course not have to pay anything. It's just for demo. If your order is set to status "confirmed" you'll get an e-mail with your download details.
Users who have filled in some (demo) billing details, now have access to the "Download-Area", accessible in the phpShop module right below "Account maintenance".
