The VirtueMart development team is proud to announce the first generally available version of VirtueMart: version 1.0.0 RC2. It contains various fixes for medium bugs.
A big thank you goes out to all testers and bug reporters. When no more critical bugs will be found, a stable version will be released this week.
When you're new to VirtueMart, but know or use mambo-phpShop, you can easily install VirtueMart just as you're used to do with mambo-phpShop. Existing product and customer data will be used by VirtueMart. It is not necessary to uninstall mambo-phpShop. Compared to mambo-phpShop you may not find much new features, but an improved code base and many many bug fixes.
If you find bugs you can report them at our bugtracker (see "Support + Development").
All translators are encouraged to send me the translated language files, so I can integrate them into the language pack.
