VirtueMart 1.0.14 is a Security Release, so all users are urged to update to this version. For more information please read the VM Security Bulletin 2008-01-30-1 and VM Security Bulletin 2008-01-30-2. 
VirtueMart 1.0.14 is prepared for the upcoming Joomla! 1.0.14, so there will be no login problems. Please note that if you want to use Joomla! 1.0.14, you must update to Virtuemart 1.0.14 as well.
The new Version is available as a "Complete Package", a "Manual Installation Package" and as "Patch Packages", which allows to update only those files, which have changed so far.
