UPDATE: Shortly after the release a syntax error in one file has been revealed in this bug report. Please update your file shipping.rate_form.php if you have downloaded the package before 11.03.2006, 19:00 CET.
You must update your database structure when you are updating an earlier version of VirtueMart! Just run those two queries with phpMyAdmin or another database manipulating tool:
ALTER TABLE `jos_vm_product_mf_xref` CHANGE `product_id` `product_id` INT( 11 ) NULL DEFAULT NULL;
ALTER TABLE `jos_vm_orders` ADD `order_tax_details` TEXT NOT NULL AFTER `order_tax`;
(adjust the table prefix 'jos_' when necessary!).
