Currently the Affiliate Support in VirtueMart is not what a Store Owner expects - it is not really working nor does it allow to track and manage Affiliates in a comfortable way. That's why the integrated Affiliate Module is unpublished by default.
Recently I was notified that there's a fully Joomla! - integrated version of the famous "iDevAffiliate" software (by iDevDirect) that can even integrate VirtueMart sales. iDevDirect has developed this Joomla! component and the VirtueMart Integration Modifications.
The good thing about this is that now you can install iDevAffiliate for Joomla! using the component installer and use it instantly without having to fiddle with integration or bridging. All you need is a valid license of iDevAffiliate.
