I've got several requests that mambo-phpShop won't install: neither automatically nor manually on Mambo 4.5.1 (beta). So I've checked the compatibility of mambo-phpShop with Mambo 4.5.1 and found that mambo-phpShop really can't be installed. This is caused by the new XML parser DOMIT! which is already integrated into Mambo 4.6 alpha.
The old xml installer file isn't compatible anymore. Its seems as if the queries cause SQL errors because they're missing the final ";". So mambo-phpShop needs some refreshing and a new installer.
DOMIT! is powerful enough to parse all of the queries and copy all files needed for mambo-phpShop - so I can put everything into the xml installer file. Installation is then as easy as with other components...no unpacking, no extra file copying any more. This should resolve installation problems on some safe_mode=On servers.
This also means that there will be no update for mambo-phpShop for Mambo < 4.5.1. The next release will be for Mambo >= 4.5.1 only and will contain several bug fixes and an advanced search feature. The browse page and the product details page (flypage) have been completely redesigned. Release! - When? When Mambo 4.5.1 is stable....
